CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 A new small business officially opened its doors on Saturday off Ayers Street, marking the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Laser Sharp Crafts Vendor Mall.<\/p>\n
Owner Destiny Solis, a Latina entrepreneur, West Oso salutatorian, and University of Texas at Austin graduate, says the venture is the result of years of dedication. She and her partner co-own the business, building the concept through years of pop-up events.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been doing pop-up shows for six years now. We decided it was finally time to open a place for other small businesses to thrive around us as well,\u201d Solis said.<\/p>\n
The mission goes beyond their own success, focusing on creating opportunities for other local small businesses in the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do believe it\u2019s going to work with the help of our community, believing in all the local businesses and supporting each other,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The vendor mall features about 30 small businesses under one roof, each offering unique products. Owners say it creates a one-stop shopping experience while giving local entrepreneurs a place to grow and gain visibility.<\/p>\n
Laser Sharp Crafts Vendor Mall is now open to the public on Ayers Street.<\/p>\n
