{"id":267733,"date":"2026-04-27T02:42:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T02:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/267733\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T02:42:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T02:42:08","slug":"east-texas-woman-accused-of-digging-up-her-newborns-grave-deputies-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/267733\/","title":{"rendered":"East Texas woman accused of digging up her newborn&#8217;s grave, deputies say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">East Texas<\/a> woman was arrested after deputies say she dug up her newborn&#8217;s grave and left the infant&#8217;s remains on a driveway miles away.<\/p>\n<p>Tamisha Cheyniece Drake, 33, of Lufkin, has been charged with abuse of a corpse, a state jail felony, according to the Angelina County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Disturbed gravesite reported<\/p>\n<p>Deputies were called to Davis Memorial Gardens in Lufkin after a report of a disturbed gravesite, the sheriff&#8217;s office said in a social media post.
