{"id":269050,"date":"2026-04-28T01:17:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-28T01:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/269050\/"},"modified":"2026-04-28T01:17:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-28T01:17:10","slug":"one-killed-in-lubbock-county-fatal-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/269050\/","title":{"rendered":"One Killed in Lubbock County Fatal Crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"106\" data-end=\"299\">LUBBOCK, TX \u2014 One person was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning at the intersection of U.S. 62 and North County Road 3000, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"301\" data-end=\"391\">The crash occurred at approximately 7:05 a.m. under clear weather and dry road conditions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"393\" data-end=\"606\">Investigators said a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by William Michael Russell Jr., 26, of Lubbock, was traveling southbound on County Road 3000 and failed to yield at a stop sign before entering the intersection.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"608\" data-end=\"708\">A 2020 Ford Escape traveling westbound on U.S. 62 collided with the driver\u2019s side of the Mitsubishi.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"894\">Russell was pronounced dead at the scene.
