EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Another water main break in Far East El Paso left residents frustrated after some homes experienced low water pressure.<\/p>\n
The break happened Monday morning on Montana Avenue and Desert Meadows Road. <\/p>\n
Several residents who did not want to be on camera said they woke up with very low water pressure. <\/p>\n
One resident said, \u201cSo this morning we’ve lost water for a few hours.\u201d<\/p>\n
RECOMMENDED: El Paso Water plans new water lines to tackle water main breaks in East Montana<\/a><\/p>\n El Paso Water officials said crews were able to isolate the line and that there are currently no residents without service. <\/p>\n Officials said the break impacted between 50 and 499 residents and pointed to planned infrastructure upgrades in the area.<\/p>\n RECOMMENDED: Third water main break in months frustrates Far East El Paso residents<\/a><\/p>\n A resident said the problem has been recurring. <\/p>\n \u201cSo I know so far right now it’s probably been four or five times that we’ve lost water,\u201d the resident said.<\/p>\n The resident also raised concerns about the cost of service, saying, \u201cAs much as we’re paying for water and like the allotment network allowed, we should be getting better water.\u201d<\/p>\n Emily Schmalz reports on the fourth water main break in the Homestead Meadows in Far East El Paso.<\/p>\n RECOMMENDED: <\/a>El Paso residents frustrated by repeated water main breaks<\/a><\/p>\n The resident said breaks in the area have also caused flooding and traffic issues.<\/p>\n \u201cI know, for like my mom and my wife driving out, I mean the water completely covers the street, so trying to find an alternate route is sometimes a little headache,\u201d the resident said.<\/p>\n The resident said the issue has happened multiple times over the past year.<\/p>\n KFOX14\/CBS4 previously reported on water main breaks in May that caused a sinkhole, along with breaks in August and December that caused flooding in the area.<\/p>\n The four times water main breaks have occurred near Homestead Meadows in Far East El Paso this past year.
