EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A beloved landmark overlooking the Sun City is shining with a new meaning this week. <\/p>\n

The iconic Star on the Franklin Mountains is illuminated in vibrant purple from April 28 through May 4, honoring global music phenomenon BTS and their devoted fanbase, known as the ARMY.<\/p>\n

The special lighting initiative is led by the official BTS ARMY group in El Paso, in partnership with the El Paso Chamber. <\/p>\n

The tribute aligns with a meaningful phrase often associated with BTS and their fans.<\/p>\n

Purple holds a special significance within the BTS community. Popularized by member V, the phrase \u201cI purple you\u201d represents trust and lasting love between the group and their fans. <\/p>\n
