\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCity and county officials marked the completion of a project to widen Sam Bass Road<\/a> between RM 1431 and Wyoming Springs Drive in Round Rock in April.<\/p>\n

The Sam Bass Road widening enhances mobility and safety to meet current and future needs of drivers in the area, according to Williamson County.<\/p>\n

Reconstructing the road<\/a> as a three-lane arterial with a dedicated center turn lane and shoulders also made way for a sidewalk to connect cyclists and pedestrians in the area.<\/p>\n

Local officials celebrated the project’s conclusion with a ribbon-cutting April 24.<\/p>\n

The details <\/p>\n

The road expansion was engineered by K. Friese + Associates and built by Cash Construction. The project was funded with $36 million in voter-approved 2019 county road bonds. Additionally, the city of Round Rock funded waterline improvements for the expansion.<\/p>\n
