1. WilCo officials consider next steps for justice facilities in county capital plan<\/p>\n
Williamson County commissioners<\/a> discussed allocating money in the county\u2019s capital improvement plan to upcoming projects, such as the Juvenile Justice Center<\/a>, at a March 31 meeting.<\/p>\n There is almost $17.9 million in the fiscal year 2025-26 CIP budget that has not yet been allocated, County Auditor Julie Kiley said.<\/p>\n Commissioners suggested prioritizing current projects with the cash left over, including the remaining balance of the Juvenile Justice Center project, totaling $17.4 million. Officials also discussed funding for the recent land purchase for the future Justice Center Complex.<\/p>\n Read the full story here<\/a>.<\/p>\n “><\/p>\n 2. 194-unit apartment complex coming to the Bell District<\/p>\n A developer is moving forward with a 194-unit apartment complex in the Bell District<\/a> in Cedar Park, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to the filing, the developer expects to begin construction in November 2026 and complete it in November 2028.<\/p>\n The project, referred to in the filing as Bell District Block B, is described as a multifamily mixed-use project wrapped around a parking deck with about 530 spaces. It will also include “an indoor amenity, leasing lobby space and an outdoor pool courtyard for residents.”<\/p>\n The development will be about 462,000 square feet and estimated to cost upward of $65 million, the filing states.
