{"id":271042,"date":"2026-04-29T07:38:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T07:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/271042\/"},"modified":"2026-04-29T07:38:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T07:38:09","slug":"goodwill-career-resource-center-to-host-financial-literacy-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/271042\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodwill Career Resource Center to host financial literacy series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) &#8211; Goodwill\u2019s Amarillo Resource Center is offering financial literacy classes to community members next month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It is partnering with Amarillo National Bank for a four-part series of classes covering banking services, fraud prevention, credit management, and budgeting. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jahnel McClain, regional manager of Goodwill Workforce Development, says the skills taught in these classes aim to provide long-term benefits. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cHelping them build a safety net, helping them understand that when I get that paycheck, I\u2019m just not going to go blow it. We need to budget and delegate that so that we can build a stable and confident future,\u201d said McClain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">McClain says each class is free, but is encouraging residents to sign up soon, as space is limited.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Classes begin May 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1904 Bell St. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KFDA.
