It all started when I saw that select Cinnabon locations (likely the stand-alone ones) would soon offer butterbeer-flavored cinnamon rolls, and my heart yearned for them.<\/p>\n<p>Read More:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kfmx.com\/phuket-thai-lubbock\/?utm_source=tsmclip&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Phuket Thai Food To Open New Restaurant In South Lubbock<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A Cinnabon Coming Soon<\/p>\n<p>In an attempt to see the closest Cinnabon to me (thinking I would only get stand-alone results and that the answer was likely San Antonio), I discovered some tantalizing information. Lubbock has three Cinaabon locations listed on the website, and one marked as &#8220;Coming Soon.&#8221; Could this be a dedicated Cinnabon?<\/p>\n<p>J &amp; M BBQ Closes One Location In Lubbock, \u201cHome\u201d Location Still Going Strong<\/p>\n<p>Read More:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/kfmx.com\/jm-bbq-closes-southwest-lubbock\/?utm_source=tsmclip&amp;utm_medium=referral\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">J M BBQ&#8217;s 82nd Street Location Closes, But Fans Remain Loyal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Cinnabon Locations In Lubbock<\/p>\n<p>6804 82nd Street and\u00a03715 19th Street are both Schlotsky&#8217;s locations that also have Cinnabon offerings. So it is entirely possible that the coming soon location could be a Schlotsky&#8217;s. It&#8217;s also possible it could be a co-branded location with Auntie Ann&#8217;s pretzels. Or some other co-branded concept.<\/p>\n<p>So Where&#8217;s The New Location? Does That Give Us Any Clues?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/locations.cinnabon.com\/tx\/lubbock\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">1201 University<\/a>, the corner of Broadway and University, across from Tech. Many moons ago, it was a Freebirds Burrito (RIP, you are missed). It is a roomy\u00a02300 sq ft, which leads me to believe it may be a co-branded concept. That&#8217;s fine, so long as they open in time to carry the butterbeer rolls. I NEED these things!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m wishing the absolute best for what goes into that location. It&#8217;s a prime spot if the proprietor can keep it afloat. Lubbock needs the area near Tech to be a walkable, fun place for visitors, students, and locals.
