The storm was <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NWSFortWorth\/status\/2049582151306227879\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:given a preliminary rating of EF3;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">given a preliminary rating of EF3<\/a> on the <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/weather-news\/how-are-tornadoes-rated-using-the-enhanced-fujita-scale\/432282\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:Enhanced Fujita Scale;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Enhanced Fujita Scale<\/a> during the NWS survey on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Tuesday&#8217;s damage in Mineral Wells, 80 miles west of Dallas, comes after deadly <a data-yga=\"{\" ylinkelement=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.accuweather.com\/en\/severe-weather\/weekend-tornadoes-leave-2-dead-in-texas-as-destructive-severe-weather-streak-continues-into-this-week\/1885670\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"elm:link;elmt:article_link;slk:tornadoes Saturday night in the Dallas-Fort Worth area;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">tornadoes Saturday night in the Dallas-Fort Worth area<\/a>. An EF2 tornado was confirmed in Runaway Bay, Texas, just 30 miles northeast of Mineral Wells, while another EF1 twister was surveyed in Springtown, 15 miles northwest of Tuesday&#8217;s damage.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"AccuWeather.com\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"631\" height=\"355\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/315f28d549796dab16bbb4b22854ff88.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>AccuWeather.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Several people in the tornado&#8217;s path were treated for injuries on scene or taken to a local hospital Tuesday evening, but no fatalities were reported. A curfew was put in effect for parts of Mineral Wells starting Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Storm Chaser Aaron Rigsby was in Mineral Wells and recorded the video above showing the damage, including buildings shredded by the twister.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Damage from the tornado began in the Country Club Estates neighborhood and tracked southeast to the National Vietnam War Museum, including a manufacturing complex with facilities for PECOFacet and Parker Hannifin.
