CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Del Mar College released a statement Thursday confirming the cancellation of events immediately at Richardson Auditorium after staff discovered fallen debris and cracking along the back wall of the stage area earlier this week.<\/p>\n
The college says the decision was made immediately out of an abundance of caution while officials assess the building\u2019s condition and determine what repairs are needed.<\/p>\n
Administrators emphasized that the safety of students, employees, and the public remains the top priority.<\/p>\n
Del Mar College also apologized for the disruption to the community and said it hopes to reopen the space once it is deemed safe.<\/p>\n
