{"id":273561,"date":"2026-04-30T21:58:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T21:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/273561\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T21:58:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T21:58:09","slug":"el-paso-man-arrested-after-he-stomped-on-childs-foot-in-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/273561\/","title":{"rendered":"El Paso man arrested after he \u2018stomped on child\u2019s foot\u2019 in dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ktsm.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:KTSM;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 A man was arrested for injury to a child after officers responded to a domestic disturbance in Far East El Paso, according to the Horizon City Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday morning, April 25, a domestic disturbance was reported at a business located at the 13000 block of Horizon Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival, officers learned there had been a verbal altercation between multiple individuals in the store.<\/p>\n<p>Officers reported that the suspect, 42-year-old Raul David Reyes, became involved in a \u201cheated\u201d argument with a woman and a juvenile.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"&lt;sub&gt;Raul David Reyes, 42, mugshot (Horizon City Police Department)&lt;\/sub&gt;\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"810\" height=\"1080\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img w-full w-full h-auto\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/a1ac885595e128349c618271357b1828.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Raul David Reyes, 42, mugshot (Horizon City Police Department)<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses claimed that during the argument, Reyes aggressively approached a 10-year-old child and intentionally stomped on their foot, causing injury.<\/p>\n<p>Officials stated that due to the age of the victim and the nature of the offense, emergency medical personnel responded to evaluate the child.<\/p>\n<p>Officers documented visible injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Additional witnesses on scene confirmed the incident, including statements that Reyes admitted to stomping on the child\u2019s foot.<\/p>\n<p>A family member declined to press charges on Reyes, but officers filed charges on behalf of the State of Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Reyes was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and is being charged with Injury to a Child with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury.<\/p>\n<p>Due to prior felony convictions, he was issued no bond and remains in custody pending further court proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
