\u201cThe useful life of the station and associated equipment is 20 years, so we\u2019ve definitely done well getting more than 20 years out of it,\u201d Director of Engineering Chris Flanigan said. \u201cThe time is now to do a holistic refurbishment.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Maxwell Creek Lift Station is located along Shelley Drive near Chandler Elementary School, and the Lost Creek lift station is located off Stacy Road just west of Lost Creek Drive, he said.<\/p>\n

The city received one bid for the project from CLW Water Group for $4.3 million with a 7% contingency fee, bringing the total cost of the project to $4.6 million, city documents state. The city is planning to pay cash for the project, Flanigan said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe resources have been set aside in excess of what is being awarded tonight, and that is no accident,\u201d he said. \u201cThat is from careful planning.\u201d<\/p>\n
