{"id":276731,"date":"2026-05-03T03:54:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-03T03:54:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/276731\/"},"modified":"2026-05-03T03:54:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-03T03:54:08","slug":"voters-approve-8-2m-paisd-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/276731\/","title":{"rendered":"Voters approve $8.2M PAISD bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-217041\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ElectionResults-0507-web-1-324x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"324\" height=\"400\"  \/>Port Aransas ISD scored an overwhelming victory on Election Day for an $8.2 million dollar bond for general, recreational and technological improvements for the district.<\/p>\n<p>The bond was broken down into three separate propositions.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary results on election night, Saturday, May 2, show that Proposition A passed with 252 votes for, 46 against. The $4.9 million Prop A covers general improvements and upgrades across PAISD, including instructional materials, a new H.G. Olsen Elementary School playground, furnishing Brundrett Middle School\u2019s Career Launching Labs and updating the Port Aransas High School chemistry lab.<\/p>\n<p>Unofficial results for Proposition B, a $2.85 million recreational fund, to be used mostly for district athletics, also passed, receiving 250 votes for and 48 against.<\/p>\n<p>Proposition C, which covers security and network infrastructure for the district, also passed, 252 to 45.<\/p>\n<p>One hundred percent of the votes have been counted, according to the Nueces County Elections Department.<\/p>\n<p>In a social media post on election night, the Port Aransas ISD said, \u201cThank you to our community members who took the time to participate in the election process.
