{"id":279681,"date":"2026-05-05T13:10:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-05T13:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/279681\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T13:10:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T13:10:07","slug":"peeping-tom-suspect-taken-into-custody-olmos-park-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/279681\/","title":{"rendered":"Peeping Tom suspect taken into custody, Olmos Park police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">OLMOS PARK, Texas \u2013 The Olmos Park Police Department said a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2026\/05\/01\/olmos-park-police-department-searching-for-peeping-tom-suspect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2026\/05\/01\/olmos-park-police-department-searching-for-peeping-tom-suspect\/\">peeping Tom suspect<\/a> was taken into custody on Monday night. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Jose Roberto Medina is accused of voyeurism, indecent exposure and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a felony, police stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Medina was wanted in connection with multiple incidents that took place in Olmos Park and on the University of the Incarnate Word\u2019s campus. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">In a May 1 news release, Olmos Park police said Medina followed two women who were out for a run in their neighborhood. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Medina allegedly peered into one of the women\u2019s homes and started to masturbate, authorities said. He fled the scene when the woman confronted him, police stated. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The University of the Incarnate Word Police Department said Medina unlawfully entered into two student apartments on campus and exposed himself to additional victims. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Multiple detectives worked with the Texas Rangers to take Medina into custody, police said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Court records show that Medina has been on probation since February, stemming from another incident last year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Detectives believe that there are more victims of Medina.
