Texas Tech women\u2019s soccer will host its final conference game at the John Walker Soccer Complex at 7 p.m. Thursday against the University of Central Florida.<\/p>\n
Tech has won seven of its ten conference games this season and tied two. Tech\u2019s only loss came against the University of Colorado Boulder on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The Red Raiders returned home following last week\u2019s loss and beat Kansas State University 3-1 on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were happy that we had a Sunday game, so we could bounce back straight away,\u201d said Nick Hallum, assistant coach. \u201cWe were really happy to see how the team performed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hallam said one of UCF\u2019s forwards is fast and similar to a forward from Baylor, which Tech beat 1-0 on Sept. 19.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe’ll do some work. We’ll show the players some video,\u201d Hallum said. \u201cWe’ve got some fast players too, so hopefully that’ll sort itself out.\u201d<\/p>\n
UCF is 5-1-4 in conference play, with its sole loss coming at the hands of the University of Arizona, which Tech beat 2-0 on Oct. 19.<\/p>\n
Following its game against UCF, Tech will participate in the Big 12 Tournament on Nov. 3.
