It affects all passengers except for those traveling in Delta One, the airline\u2019s highest level of service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The airline joins other major airlines in the United States that don\u2019t offer food and beverage service on short flights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Previously, passengers on Delta flights over 250 miles received complimentary snacks and beverages, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delta.com\/us\/en\/onboard\/food-and-beverage\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.delta.com\/us\/en\/onboard\/food-and-beverage\/overview\">according to the airline\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This is not the only change spurred by rising jet fuel prices: Delta and other airlines recently raised checked baggage fees in response.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 CNN Newsource.
