Community members can check out new barbecue spots and taco eateries, and look forward to a hot chicken restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Now open<\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/north-central-austin\/dining\/2025\/10\/15\/team-behind-taco-flats-unveils-churchrow-tejas-bbq-in-north-austin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Churchrow Tejas BBQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Simon Madera, the brain behind La Holly and Taco Flats, has brought Churchrow Tejas BBQ to Austin. The restaurant moved into the space previously occupied by Black Gold Craft Meats &amp; Cocktails. The concept is led by pitmaster Miguel Vidal and showcases barbecue with a Tejano twist, highlighting Madera and Vidal\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n<p>Opened Oct. 221521 W. (Community Impact staff)5. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/north-central-austin\/business\/2025\/10\/28\/from-breakfast-sandwiches-to-sushi-check-out-10-business-updates-in-east-austin\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shokunin<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A new sushi bar from Chef Phillip Frankland Lee and Executive Pastry Chef Margarita Kallas-Lee opened next door to NADC Burger.<\/p>\n<p>Coming soon<\/p>\n<p>6. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/northwest-austin\/dining\/2025\/10\/28\/hattie-bs-bringing-hot-chicken-to-domain-northside-this-november\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hattie B\u2019s Hot Chicken<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Nashville-based chicken restaurant is opening its second Austin location at Domain Northside this November. The new location will offer menu items such as The Classic Chicken Sandwich, The Jumbo Tenders Plate, The Half Bird Plate, Dirty Bird Fries and Fight or Flight, a hot chicken sampler.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Hattie B&#8217;s has partnered with Dell Children&#8217;s Foundation to donate $1 from every order of chicken at the hottest heat level, dubbed &#8220;Shut the Cluck Up!&#8221; on the menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Hattie B's will be located at the corner of Esperanza Crossing and Rock Rose Avenue, near Haywire, in Domain Northside.
