Let’s just say there are stories about Saliva’s adventures in Lubbock — the kind best left untold to protect the guilty.

The memories made in Lubbock still burn bright for anyone who lived through the early 2000s rock scene in the Hub City. Now, frontman Josey Scott is bringing that energy back to Jake’s Sports Café for what promises to be equal parts homecoming and full-throttle rock revival.

A Reunion of Rock and Chaos

The lineup is as fierce as it is nostalgic: Element of Nexus, Sleep When We’re Dead, and Von Tez will set the stage before Josey takes it over. This is more than just a concert — it’s a gathering of the tribes on 50th Street, where rock still lives loud and unfiltered.

Lubbock’s Long Love Affair with Saliva

Saliva was one of those bands that Lubbock didn’t just like — we adopted them. Alongside regulars like Powerman 5000, Jackyl, Pantera, and Nickelback, they earned their stripes the hard way: with high-voltage shows and legendary nights that spilled out long after the amps went quiet.

The Legacy Returns

After leaving Saliva during their peak, Josey Scott ventured into solo projects, but he’s back to the songs that made him a rock icon. From Click Click Boom to Your Disease, his return feels like reconnecting with an old friend — one that still knows how to raise hell and heal the soul at the same time.

📍 Josey Scott performs Thursday, November 6th at Jake’s Sports Café.

Lubbock fans who lived the rock scene between 2000 and 2007 know exactly what this means. For everyone else — get ready to find out.
