According to the district<\/a>, each event from May 12 to May 19 is designed as both a debut and a test run, giving students the chance to perform on a stage built to professional standards.<\/p>\n Admission is free, though seating is limited, and the district is encouraging early reservations<\/a>.<\/p>\n A Stage Build On Student Achievement<\/p>\n Participating groups were selected based on years of competitive success at state and national levels, highlighting programs that have helped define Frisco ISD\u2019s reputation in fine arts.<\/p>\n \u201cThis center reflects a community investment in Frisco ISD students and their creative futures,\u201d said Pete Hazzard, managing director of fine arts, in an official statement. \u201cIt will provide a stage where their hard work and artistry can truly shine, while also bringing our community together to celebrate the importance of a quality fine arts education. We can\u2019t wait for everyone to see it.\u201d<\/p>\n The week of performances will culminate in a Saturday night showcase that brings together multiple student groups for a collaborative finale, underscoring the scale of the district\u2019s fine arts ecosystem.<\/p>\n A New Landmark In Frisco<\/p>\n The center is located on Stockard Drive in East Frisco, located near Hunt Middle School and across from Stonebriar Community Church along Legendary Drive.<\/p>\n Inside, the building is built for range as much as scale: a two-story, 1,200-seat performance auditorium anchors the space, supported by multipurpose labs, fine arts offices, an art gallery and backstage production areas designed to support large-scale performances and exhibitions.<\/p>\n For a district that has steadily expanded its arts footprint alongside rapid enrollment growth, the new facility represents a long-awaited central home for programs that have historically been spread across campuses.<\/p>\n Fine Arts Across The District<\/p>\n The opening also highlights the reach of fine arts participation in Frisco ISD. Under the district\u2019s student opportunity model, every elementary student receives instruction in music and visual art.<\/p>\n At the secondary level, participation remains strong, with approximately 78% of middle school students and 51% of high school students engaged in fine arts programs.
