{"id":286549,"date":"2026-05-10T04:37:36","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T04:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/286549\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T04:37:36","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T04:37:36","slug":"texas-tech-announces-signing-of-penn-state-transfer-emma-fassora","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/286549\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Tech announces signing of Penn State transfer Emma Fassora"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LUBBOCK, Texas \u2013\u00a0Texas Tech Soccer and head coach\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/coaches\/tom-stone\/4182\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4182\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Stone<\/a>\u00a0have announced the addition of Penn State defender Emma Fassora.<\/p>\n<p>A native of Louisville, Colo., Fassora played her club soccer with the historic Real Colorado program for coaches Lorne Donaldson, Lyle Lebere and April Kater.<\/p>\n<p>Ranked as a top-200 prospect out of high school, Fassora played in four matches for Penn State a season ago, tallying 69 total minutes.<\/p>\n<p>A veteran of both the US Olympic Development Program and the USYNT, Fassora also trained with the KC Current\u2019s Reserve Team.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, Fassora led Real to the ECNL Conference Cup and was a multiple time ECNL Girls Northwest All-Conference selection.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of Monarch High School, Fassora also ran track in high school and was a four-time Academic Honor Roll selection and was the Spanish Honor Society President.<\/p>\n<p>Emma has one brother, Jake, who swam collegiately at RPI.<\/p>\n<p>Fassora continues a strong pipeline of Colorado players heading to Lubbock that started with Janine Beckie and has included All-Big 12 performers like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/peyton-parsons\/13840\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13840\" target=\"_blank\">Peyton Parsons<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/kylie-bahr\/13827\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"13827\" target=\"_blank\">Kylie Bahr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The versatile defender will enroll at Texas Tech later this summer and joins BYU transfer Addie Sine and former Real teammate GK\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/addie-todd\/14265\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"14265\" target=\"_blank\">Addie Todd<\/a>\u00a0(FSU) in the Red Raiders transfer portal class.<\/p>\n<p>HEAD COACH TOM STONE:<br \/>\u201cEmma is a special player with terrific experience at both Real Colorado and Penn State.
