A 52-year-old San Elizario man died after a dirt bike crash Saturday afternoon at San Felipe Park near S. Fabens Road and Carlsbad Road.

Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to the park on May 9, at about 12:12 p.m. for a report of an off-road vehicle crash. When deputies arrived, they found a crash involving serious injuries and requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigators, who took over the investigation.

Investigators said preliminary findings indicate the rider was operating the dirt bike in a desert area when he lost control while attempting to negotiate a curve and was dislodged from the bike.

The rider was identified as Pedro Rocha, 52, of San Elizario. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.

A 52-year-old San Elizario man died after a dirt bike crash Saturday afternoon at San Felipe Park near…

[12
138,140,139
post-287010","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-el-paso","tag-el-paso","tag-el-paso-headlines","tag-el-paso-news
["GET
