A Texas man has been arrested after he allegedly killed his wife because \u201cshe didn\u2019t take his back pain seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jose Romero has been charged with murder in connection to his wife Yanira Marin de Romero\u2019s killing on May 2. The Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a press release<\/a> that Romero, 43, shot Marin de Romero, 39, while the couple was allegedly arguing. The incident took place while she was in a bathroom in their Cloverleaf home.<\/p>\n Three of the couple\u2019s children were at the home at the time of the shooting, according to KHOU<\/a>. All three children \u2014 who are ages 3, 8 and 13 \u2014 were unharmed amid the incident.<\/p>\n Following the shooting, police reported to the home and Marin de Romero was found with multiple gunshot wounds. She was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n Texas Husband Allegedly Strangled Pregnant Wife Until She Went Limp as Their Child Watched<\/a><\/p>\n Romero reportedly called 911 and told dispatchers that “he just shot his wife,” according to the police press release.<\/p>\n “Upon arrival, deputies located [Romero] and detained him without incident,” the release stated. “Romero told homicide detectives he shot and killed Yanira Marin de Romero because she didn’t take his back pain seriously.”<\/p>\n Romero was held in custody at Harris County Jail following his arrest.<\/p>\n It is not currently clear if Romero has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest. The Harris County Sheriff\u2019s Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly\u2019s request for comment regarding the case.<\/p>\n The investigation into the case remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
