He also invited each mother to take a commemorative photo with him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI thought it would be a great gesture to recognize moms because they\u2019re always on the go,\u201d Hamilton said. \u201cTheir job never ends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hamilton said the idea came to him as he was leaving home Sunday morning. He told his wife he would try to get off work early to help celebrate Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cShe stated, \u2018it\u2019s okay. My job is never done. I have plenty to keep me busy around here,\u2019\u201d Hamilton said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hamilton said he thought that was sad as he headed to work and decided to spend his day making other mothers\u2019 days memorable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cSo, I decided instead of issuing speeding tickets to mothers caught driving a little fast on Mother\u2019s Day, I would simply issue them a friendly warning and invite them for a picture that sort of marks a special occasion,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hamilton said every mother smiled with relief and joy after he explained they were receiving a Mother\u2019s Day warning for speeding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt was just a small way that I could show appreciation for all that mothers do and make their day a little more special and memorable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hamilton said in his 29 years as an officer, he has never done this before.
