We&#8217;ve got foes from the MAAC, the Patriot League, and the Southeastern Conference coming to town.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5d\">The Red Raiders (52-6 overall, 21-3 Big 12) are set to host the Lubbock Regional which will get started on Friday, May 15 and run through Sunday, May 17. Right now, Texas Tech is looking to make it back to the Women\u2019s College World Series championship finals after falling to Texas (but that\u2019s clearly easier said than done).<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5g\">First, Texas Tech has to clear its own regional. And that involves the Marist Red Foxes, the Boston University Terriers, and the Ole Miss Rebels.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5j\">Let\u2019s go over (briefly) each of these foes.<\/p>\n<p>NiJaree Canady and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are getting set to host Marison, Boston U. and Ole Miss in the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Any ball knowers out there? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/1IzucCvO4D\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/1IzucCvO4D<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Texas Tech Softball (@TexasTechSB) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TexasTechSB\/status\/2054279658884026624?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">May 12, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5s\">The Red Foxes are arriving in Lubbock with a 37-19 overall record and a 24-3 conference record. Right now, Marist is riding a 17-game winning streak and has managed to win the MAAC tournament championship.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5v\">Meanwhile, the Boston University Terriers are sitting at 46-13 overall, 16-2 in conference play, and are on a 12-game winning streak of their own after winning the Patriot League tournament championship.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5y\">While the Ole Miss Rebels didn\u2019t win the Southeastern Conference softball tournament, Ole Miss looks to be a little dangerous after hitting a hot streak late in the season. The Rebels are 34-24 overall and 6-18 in conference play, but managed to upset both the South Carolina Gamecocks and Tennessee Lady Vols in the SEC Tournament. The Rebels were bounced from the tournament by the Texas Longhorns.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-9\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"61\">Texas Tech is entering the Lubbock Regional as the host with 52 wins from the regular season and the Big 12 conference tournament. As a team, the Red Raiders have a .388 batting average (which ranks among the best in the country as Texas Tech is sitting just behind the Oklahoma Sooners\u2019 nation-leading .389 batting average).
