EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A man from New Mexico was arrested last month after police said he broke into an El Paso home through a window and assaulted a woman who lived there.<\/p>\n
Officers responded at 4:50 a.m. April 29, a report of a burglary of a habitation in progress in the 1500 block of Lomaland. <\/p>\n
Police said they found Tristan Joel Coriz, 24, inside the residence when they arrived.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined the victim, a 20-year-old woman from El Paso, and her significant other were asleep when they were awakened by Coriz, who had unlawfully entered the home and assaulted the victim. <\/p>\n
Police said Coriz gained entry through a window.<\/p>\n
Coriz was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. <\/p>\n
He was charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony, with a bond set at $150,000, and burglary of habitation, with a bond set at $50,000.<\/p>\n
