CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 CCISD seniors at Collegiate High School are closing out their high school journey with celebrations, recognition, and a major academic milestone as Decision Day comes to an end. Students, along with their families, gathered for the school’s Senior Farewell event, a final celebration before graduation this summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The event served as a sendoff for graduating seniors who have spent years balancing high school coursework with college-level classes. Many students will leave with more than just a diploma.\u00a0<\/p>\n
During the celebration, students were presented with stoles, medals and other academic honors recognizing their achievements throughout their academic careers.\u00a0<\/p>\n
For families. the moment was especially meaningful as parents had the opportunity to present awards directly to their graduating seniors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cIt really did take a lot to get here and to have them both beside me through this big moment was amazing,\u201d one student said.<\/p>\n
Parents expressed pride as well, reflecting on their children\u2019s accomplishments and dedication.<\/p>\n
\u201cGrateful, extremely grateful. Very proud of him,\u201d one parent said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t be more proud.\u201d<\/p>\n
Beyond the celebration, students at Collegiate High School are preparing for a unique graduation milestone. When they cross the stage this summer, they will earn both a high school diploma and an associate\u2019s degree.<\/p>\n
School officials say the dual-credit program continues to set students up for success, giving them a strong academic and career head start as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.<\/p>\n
