Locomotive head coach praised Fernandez\u2019s ability after he had been signed.<\/p>\n

\u201cCristo is a great addition to our roster, adding another attacking threat to our forward line,\u201d Gonzalez said.<\/p>\n

Fernandez now has the chance to make his name in the USL Championship, after also trialling with the second team of Major League Soccer\u2019s Chicago Fire earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The Mexican moved to London as part of his acting career and was cast in Ted Lasso.<\/p>\n

He starred in the Apple TV+ show from 2020 to 2023 and the series won multiple awards over its initial run.<\/p>\n
