{"id":294428,"date":"2026-05-15T12:04:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T12:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/294428\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T12:04:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T12:04:08","slug":"lubbock-downtown-farmers-market-returns-for-16th-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/294428\/","title":{"rendered":"Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market returns for 16th season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.everythinglubbock.com\/news\/latest\/lubbock-downtown-farmers-market-returns-for-16th-season\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.everythinglubbock.com\/news\/latest\/lubbock-downtown-farmers-market-returns-for-16th-season\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LUBBOCK, Texas<\/a> \u2014 The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market is set to return for another season in Lubbock, bringing fresh produce, baked goods and family-friendly fun back to the community every Saturday through October.<\/p>\n<p>Market Manager Chuck Green said the Market will return Saturday, May 23, and will continue through October 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will be our 16th year,\u201d Green said. \u201cA lot of people look forward to it each season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Green said visitors can expect a variety of vendors from the very beginning.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.everythinglubbock.com\/news\/local-news\/new-wolfforth-umc-clinic-to-hold-ribbon-cutting-ceremony\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n\t\tNew Wolfforth UMC Clinic to hold ribbon cutting ceremony\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will have bakers, candy makers, arts and crafts type projects,\u201d Green said.<\/p>\n<p>Green said one of the market\u2019s strengths is its welcoming atmosphere and loyal customer base.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a good family environment,\u201d Green said. \u201cWe have a group of regulars that we know by name.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vendor selection is handled through an online application process. Green explained that returning vendors who have participated for years are often grandfathered in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe try to keep it unique and focused on local markers and growers,\u201d Green said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Green, the market has also helped launch several local small businesses over the years.
