CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The City of Corpus Christi has launched a new online water usage portal to help residents and businesses track their water consumption in real time.<\/p>\n
City officials announced on Tuesday that\u00a0there is\u00a0a new dashboard\u00a0that\u00a0allows residential and commercial customers to view current\u00a0billing cycle\u00a0information, daily water averages, and water usage history from the past year.<\/p>\n
City officials said the portal\u00a0is designed\u00a0to help customers better understand their water use, compare daily habits\u00a0and\u00a0identify possible leaks or other issues that could increase consumption.<\/p>\n
The tool comes as the Coastal Bend continues to face ongoing drought concerns and increasing calls for water conservation across the region.<\/p>\n
“Staying informed about daily water usage is one of the most effective ways our community can contribute to conservation efforts,” said Nick Winkelmann, Chief Operations Officer, Corpus Christi Water.<\/p>\n
The city also released an instructional video showing customers how to use the new portal.<\/p>\n
