{"id":295078,"date":"2026-05-15T21:21:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T21:21:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/295078\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T21:21:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T21:21:12","slug":"austin-man-fatally-shot-after-verbal-argument-turns-deadly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/295078\/","title":{"rendered":"Austin man fatally shot after verbal argument turns deadly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">AUSTIN, Texas (KWTX) &#8211; Friday, May 8, Austin Police responded to a shooting at a Budget Inn where the suspect fatally shot a man he had been in an argument with.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Austin Police Department Officers say Se Hun, 56, was shot in the chest by Sean Walton, 24, after a verbal argument escalated and Walton pulled out a firearm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Hun was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday May 14, according to Austin Police reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives from the Austin Police Department\u2019s Aggravated Assault and Crime Scene Units processed the scene and determined Walton was the suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Following the crime, Walton fled the scene in a vehicle, was eventually tracked down by police and was arrested Sunday, May 10, by the Cibolo Police Department in Cibolo, Texas. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Walton is currently being help in custody in Guadalupe County, according to Austin Police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThis case is being investigated as the city of Austin\u2019s 25 homicide of 2026,\u201d Austin Police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There are no further details available at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KWTX.
