Human remains found at a Texas home<\/a> belong to a six-year-old boy who investigators believe was murdered by his death-obsessed, abusive mother, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The decaying corpse discovered Thursday behind home in Everman, a suburb of Dallas, has been identified as Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez, the Tarrant County District Attorney\u2019s Office announced Friday<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Noel was last seen alive, although malnourished, just after the October 2022 birth of his twin siblings.<\/p>\n

Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez\u2019s remains were discovered Thursday and confirmed to be his Friday. Everman Emergency Services<\/p>\n

Authorities conducted a welfare check on the boy in March 2023, during which they said his mother Cindy Rodriguez-Singh falsely claimed he was staying in Mexico with his biological father or had been sold at a local market.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The allegedly twisted mother fled to India with her husband and six other children just hours later \u2013 landing herself on the FBI\u2019s 10 Most Wanted List.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Investigators believe her husband stole $10,000 and dumped a human body wrapped in a carpet before they left.\u00a0<\/p>\n

By Oct. 2023, Rodriquez-Singh was charged with capital murder in Tarrant County in October 2023, but it took nearly two years for authorities to track her down and extradite her from India.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHere at the district attorney\u2019s office, we will continue to seek justice for Noel. We owe that to him and to the citizens of Tarrant County,\u201d said DA Phil Sorrells.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Detectives previously alleged Rodriguez-Singh believed her special needs son Noel was \u201cevil\u201d and \u201cpossessed\u201d by a demon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She allegedly used the bizarre claim as justification to abuse and neglect the child, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Noel was born prematurely and had multiple developmental delays. He lived in squalor with his mother and some of his siblings in the home where his body was found.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Investigators found an altar to \u201cSanta Muerte\u201d at the run-down home. FOX 4 KDFW<\/p>\n

Inside the rundown shack, police found an altar for the Mexican folk deity \u201cSanta Muerte,\u201d <\/a>a personification of death commonly linked with drug cartels.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sorrells said Rodriguez-Singh will stand trial, despite being deemed incompetent in April.\u00a0<\/p>\n
