According to our partners at Louisville Business First<\/a>, the new location will replace the original Texas Roadhouse in the Green Tree Mall, opened in 1993 by founder Kent Taylor.<\/p>\nThe new location will be the chain’s largest location, according to zoning documents. LBF reported the restaurant is expected to span about 10,000 square feet.<\/p>\n
In a statement, a spokesperson for the company called the move “bittersweet,” but said the new restaurant will “honor the original location’s heritage in the architecture and design.”<\/p>\n
Bubba’s 33 is also owned by Texas Roadhouse Inc. The concept was introduced to the Louisville area in 2016 with the Clarksville location.<\/p>\n
No closing date for the original location has been set, but the new location is expected to open in mid-November. The nearly 150 employees at the current location are set to transfer to the new location, with additional staff to come.<\/p>\n
