The best-of-three series will begin either Thursday or Friday, with times to be announced by ESPN later in the week.<\/p>\n<p>After his team clinched a spot in the NCAA super regional round for the seventh consecutive postseason\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/sports\/college\/longhorns\/softball\/article\/texas-longhorns-softball-score-today-baylor-22252673.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">with Sunday&#8217;s 7-0 win over Baylor<\/a>, Texas coach Mike White was eager to watch the end of the College Station Regional and got a head start on scouting the Sun Devils (44-16). The Big 12 champions, who beat Texas Tech in the conference tournament finals, haven\u2019t played Texas since 2022, when the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/sports\/college\/longhorns\/softball\/article\/texas-softball-sec-national-poll-nebraska-22255556.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">No. 19 Sun Devils<\/a> topped the Longhorns 2-0 in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe can spin it,\u201d White said. \u201cShe\u2019s a really, really good pitcher.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Brown entered Sunday\u2019s game against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/sports\/tamu\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas A&amp;M<\/a> with a 16-6 record, a 2.28 ERA and 244 strikeouts in 150.2 innings. She ranks fourth in the nation in strikeouts with 246 after fanning two Aggies in three innings of work Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Brown is also a true workhorse who will likely see lots of action against Texas.
