Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer is looking to score a home that\u2019s closer to his team.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After a year in the top job at America\u2019s Team, Schottenheimer has listed the family\u2019s four-bedroom house in McKinney, Texas, for $3.8 million as he looks to shorten his commute to the team\u2019s practice facility in Frisco, known as the Star, according to the listing agent.<\/p>\n
\u201cHis schedule is so demanding,\u201d said Compass\u2019s Carrie Himel, who listed the home late last month.. \u201cThe drive was just a little too far.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family bought it off market through Himel sometime after Schottenheimer first joined the Cowboys as offensive coordinator in 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n The house sits on a 1-acre treed lot with a creek in the yard and ample open space. \u201cYou can see nature from every window,\u201d Himel said. \u201cIt really feels like a Texas Hill Country resort.\u201d<\/p>\n The house spans 5,751 square feet, with four bedrooms, a chef\u2019s kitchen, cathedral ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling marble fireplace in the living area and a spa-like primary bath, according to the listing<\/p>\n \u00a0The grounds include a yoga garden, an infinity-edge pool, a standalone three-car garage and enough space to add a sports court or casita, should the next owner want to, according to Himel.<\/p>\n Schottenheimer, 52, played football through college\u2014first at the University of Kansas then the University of Florida\u2014and began his coaching career in 1997, moving up to offensive coordinator at the NFL level by 2006. He is the son of the late Marty Schottenheimer, who was a player and a coach himself for 21 seasons in the NFL. He could not immediately be reached for comment.<\/p>\n
