AEP crews continue restoration efforts in Nueces, Aransas, Refugio and San Patricio counties after overnight storms.<\/p>\n

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 UPDATE<\/p>\n

As of 8:20 a.m., thousands across the Coastal Bend remain without power after overnight storms, according to AEP Texas.<\/p>\n

Nueces County reported 1,323 customers without power with estimated restoration around 1 p.m. Aransas County continued reporting 1,991 outages with restoration expected by 11:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

In Refugio County, 1,201 residents remained affected with power expected back by 11 a.m. San Patricio County reported 814 outages with estimated restoration around 12:05 p.m.<\/p>\n

AEP crews continue working across the region to restore power as conditions improve following Tuesday morning\u2019s storms.<\/p>\n

More than 10,000 residents across the Coastal Bend were still without power Tuesday morning as storms continued moving out of the area, according to the AEP Texas outage map<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As of 6 a.m., outages were impacting several counties across the region. Nueces County reported 3,321 customers without power, while Aransas County reported 3,014 outages. San Patricio County continued to see 2,238 affected residents, and Refugio County reported 1,502 outages.<\/p>\n

AEP said estimated restoration times now range between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., though times may vary by location as crews continue working to restore service.<\/p>\n

The outages came after overnight storms moved east across the Coastal Bend, bringing heavy rain, lightning and strong winds to parts of the region.<\/p>\n

Drivers are urged to remain cautious on roadways on Tuesday morning, as some areas may still have slick conditions and isolated debris left by the storms.<\/p>\n
