EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A traffic stop in El Paso early Saturday ended with an arrest after officers said a driver tried to flee and tossed a bag of cocaine from his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Officers on patrol at 3:16 a.m. near 6100 Alameda said they saw a vehicle with a couple arguing. When officers approached, a woman hurried away.<\/p>\n

Police then contacted the driver, identified as 30-year-old Bryan Delara, who police said is homeless. <\/p>\n

Officers said Delara quickly put the vehicle in reverse, committing a traffic violation in their presence. <\/p>\n

When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, they said Delara refused to stop and threw a large plastic bag out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Officers said Delara eventually stopped at the intersection of Alameda and Clark. <\/p>\n

Police recovered the plastic bag and said it contained 74 individually wrapped baggies of cocaine.<\/p>\n

Delara was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. <\/p>\n

He was charged with the manufacture, delivery, of controlled substance penalty group 1 over or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams, and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle.<\/p>\n
