The Storehouse Community Center<\/a>, formerly known as The Storehouse of Collin County, is requesting help from the public to restock its Joseph\u2019s Coat Clothing Closet, specifically with children\u2019s clothing, new socks and new underwear.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know that families are already stretched thin and are feeling even more pressure as they look toward the summer months,\u201d said Susan Gradick, director of Joseph\u2019s Coat Clothing Closet. \u201cBetween groceries, gas, childcare, and everyday essentials, clothing can quickly become an added financial burden for parents. We encourage our wonderful community to clean out closets, donate gently used children\u2019s clothing, or organize a drive through a business, church, or community group. Every donation helps a child feel cared for and confident while bringing much-needed relief to parents.\u201d<\/p>\n The demand includes all children\u2019s clothing sizes and shoes, especially summer styles. Shoes and unused socks and underwear are also needed.<\/p>\n \u201cThe demand for clothing assistance continues to grow as families struggle to keep up with rising everyday expenses,\u201d said Candace Winslow, CEO of The Storehouse Community Center.<\/a> \u201cDuring the summer months, children are especially active and wear through clothing and shoes, creating an even greater need for families already under financial strain. We could not operate Joseph\u2019s Coat Clothing Closet without the generosity of this community, and we are deeply grateful for the steadfast support that helps provide dignity, confidence, and relief to local children and parents in need.\u201d<\/p>\n Donations can be dropped off 24\/7 at the Joseph\u2019s Coat shed, located in the north parking lot at The Storehouse, located at 1401 Mira Vista Blvd. Those wishing to volunteer may do so online<\/a>.
