LPD said Rios pulled out a gun and shot Trevino before leaving the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Trevino was taken to UMC where he later died. Investigators with the Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center conducted surveillance in the 1600 block of 59th St. and Rios was eventually taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police records show Rios stabbed Trevino in 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Rios is still being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $300,000 bond.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
