Sade Real Estate has locked down $128.5M in acquisition and development financing for The Arno, a luxury multifamily project it is planning\u00a0in Houston\u2019s River Oaks<\/a> neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Walker & Dunlop announced Monday that it arranged financing from\u00a0global alternative asset manager Hudson Bay Capital for the 168-unit project, which is planned at 2929 Weslayan St., within walking distance of River Oaks Shopping Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Development is expected to begin sometime this year, according to the Commercial Observer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Walker & Dunlop<\/a>\u00a0Capital Markets\u2019 institutional advisory team \u2014 including Sean Reimer, Aaron Appel, Jonathan Shwartz, Keith Kurland, Adam Schwartz, Dustin Stolly and Sean Bastian \u2014\u00a0arranged the financing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe property\u2019s scale, luxury positioning, and highly curated amenity package align with the evolving preferences of affluent buyers seeking privacy, convenience, and a hospitality-driven residential experience within one of Houston\u2019s most established neighborhoods,\u201d Reimer said\u00a0in a release<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition to River Oaks Shopping Center, The Arno will be within walking distance of Central Market<\/a> and Highland Village<\/a>.<\/p>\n

River Oaks, Houston\u2019s first master-planned community<\/a>, is the most expensive residential neighborhood in Houston. Directly adjacent to The Galleria<\/a>, it is defined by luxury living, retail and restaurants.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe combination of River Oaks\u2019 long-term fundamentals, Houston\u2019s continued population growth, and highly selective development activity continues to reinforce the neighborhood\u2019s exclusivity and long-term value,\u201d Yoni Sade, chairman and CEO of Sade Real Estate Services,\u00a0said in the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Other residential developers are also taking note.
