SAN ANTONIO \u2013 The Bexar County sheriff spoke outside an East Side home on Tuesday about a drug bust that resulted in two arrests.<\/p>\n
Identities of the people arrested are unknown as of Tuesday evening, but Sheriff Javier Salazar said they were allegedly gang-affiliated and produced narcotics in a home in the 200 block of Nelson Avenue.<\/p>\n
The two were taken into custody during a traffic stop after leaving the home located in the Denver Heights neighborhood, Salazar said.<\/p>\n

BCSO deputies and a SWAT team entered the residence and discovered an estimated $10,000 worth of drugs, according to Salazar, including:<\/p>\n
A half pound of powdered cocaine in brick form<\/p>\n
Several ounces of crack cocaine<\/p>\n
About a pound of methenamine<\/p>\n
Several pounds of marijuana<\/p>\n
THC vape cartridges<\/p>\n
Salazar said he believes the two arrested received the \u201cpowdered cocaine here and then cooked it out into crack.\u201d<\/p>\n
Additionally, at least two weapons were recovered, along with a stolen \u201chigh-end\u201d pickup truck, Salazar said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is highly likely they will be facing federal charges \u2014 if not for the drugs, then certainly for the weapons in conjunction with the drugs,\u201d Salazar said, noting the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) assisted in the operation.<\/p>\n
An assault rifle was also propped next to a window of the home \u201cas if they were waiting for something,\u201d Salazar said.<\/p>\n
There had been multiple people walking in and out of the house in addition to those arrested, Salazar said. <\/p>\n
He said BCSO had been working on the case for \u201cseveral weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n
