Kahane, who is based in California but has a long association with the San Antonio classical music community, said, \u2018I recognize that some people would understandably say how is this even possible? I do think it\u2019s important to make clear that this is not about me. I didn\u2019t create this myself. This was very much an effort that started with and includes some wonderful people in the community who saw the need for something like this.\u2019 The guiding idea, he said, is to create more opportunities for area musicians, including students, and music lovers. Kahane \u2026 served as music director of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra for 20 years and teaches at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
