As severe weather moves through Central Texas, many homeowners are starting to think about something they often don\u2019t notice until there\u2019s a problem \u2014 the roof over their heads.<\/p>\n
Today on We Are Austin, Chris Arevalo joined Sierra Waggoner to share expert advice on roof damage, storm preparedness, and how homeowners can better navigate the insurance claims process when severe weather strikes.<\/p>\n

Hail damage is not so easy, so you really need a professional to come inspect your roof and properly document everything.\u201d<\/p>\n Before contacting an insurance company, Arevalo recommends homeowners first research reputable roofing companies, gather inspections, and review documentation carefully.<\/p>\n \u201cLook for reviews for a roofing company,\u201d he said. \u201cGet a couple to come out, have them document the damage with photos, and help explain your policy.\u201d<\/p>\n
