Dallas-based Nasdaq Texas is getting in on the hottest IPO of the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
SpaceX<\/a> publicly filed for its highly anticipated initial public offering Wednesday, and according to its filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, its stock is planned to be\u00a0listed on both Nasdaq and Nasdaq Texas under the symbol SPCX.\u00a0<\/p>\n Billionaire Elon Musk’s Starbase, Texas-headquartered space exploration company is expected to be the biggest stock market debut ever.\u00a0Bloomberg\u00a0reported in April<\/a> that the company had filed to go public confidentially and could be seeking a valuation of more than $2 trillion. SpaceX recently acquired Musk’s artificial intelligence venture, xAI, in a deal that valued the combined entity\u00a0at $1.25 trillion<\/a>. Chips giant Nvidia is currently the world’s most valuable company<\/a> at a valuation of more than $5 trillion, while Musk’s electric vehicle maker Tesla is ninth at a valuation around $1.5 trillion.\u00a0<\/p>\n A splashy event in March celebrating\u00a0Nasdaq Texas’ SEC approval outside the Alamo in San Antonio included the CEOs of the first five companies expected to dual list on\u00a0Nasdaq Texas including APA Corp., Construction Partners Inc., J.B. Hunt Transportation Services, Huntington Bancshares, and ProFrac Services. It was also attended by\u00a0Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.\u00a0<\/p>\n Racz’s stated goal for the exchange is to bring global capital to Texas and create reinvestable opportunities in the state.
