For the next eight days leading up to our 10th anniversary block party<\/a>, we\u2019re counting down 10 things we love about Plano by celebrating The Good Stuff. What is the good stuff, you ask?\u00a0<\/p>\n With eight days left, we\u2019re talking about Plano celebrating diversity and culture.<\/p>\n This year, Plano ranked 28th most culturally diverse<\/a> in the nation, with over 1 in 5 residents reporting as Asian and nearly 1 in 3 being foreign-born. The city of Plano celebrates these cultures in many ways, including two annual festivals: AsiaFest and Plano International Festival.<\/p>\n A fantastic example is that one of the city\u2019s top events each year is the Plano International Festival<\/a>. It\u2019s the longest multicultural festival in North Texas, running since 2005.<\/p>\n The festival<\/a> features children\u2019s activities, a fashion show, on-stage performers, cultural vendor booths, a wellness fair and plenty of food trucks.<\/p>\n Next year\u2019s festival will take place on Oct. 17 at Haggard Park. As always, admission is free.<\/p>\n
