Owner and Arlington native Michael Kemp took over the existing coffee shop and set out to transform the space into a community mainstay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver time, the vision shifted from just serving coffee to creating something people feel connected to,\u201d said Kemp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot just a place you stop by \u2014 but a place that feels like part of your routine, part of your city. The long-term goal is simple: we don\u2019t just want to be Arlington Coffee Roasters\u2026 we want to become Arlington\u2019s coffee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arlington Coffee Roasters created a special blend to commemorate the city\u2019s 150th anniversary, based off their signature Arlington blend. Kemp explained that the blend reflects everything he\u2019s learned along the way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that many batches, you start to understand what people actually enjoy and what keeps them coming back,\u201d Kemp said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t set out to make something flashy \u2014 we wanted something that just hits right every time. It\u2019s smooth, balanced, and works with any home brewing method.\u00a0 Just a regular cup of coffee, elevated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Kemp took over the space, he sought to create a welcoming environment \u2013 complete with murals, warm tones and thoughtful design. They also take pride in the consistent quality of their on-site roasted beans, explained Kemp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy come visit? Because it feels good to be here. Whether you\u2019re meeting someone, getting work done, watch a roast in action on the video feed of the roasting room, or just grabbing your usual drink, it\u2019s a place you can settle into. And you know your coffee is going to be right every time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kemp has found community as an Arlington business-owner, even collaborating with neighbor Rodeo Goat to provide beans for their espresso martini.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of pride here, and when people see you investing in the city, they respond to that. The community is here \u2014 you just have to show up for it first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 150th anniversary blend is available for purchase at Arlington Coffee Roasters at 400 E. Division St. through the end of 2026.
