EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 53-year-old man wanted on multiple felony bond violations was arrested on Thursday after deputies tracked him down in East El Paso, authorities said.<\/p>\n
According to the El Paso County Constable’s Office, deputies arrested Jaime Olazaba during a multi-agency operation with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur close collaboration with the El Paso County Sheriff\u2019s Office is vital to taking individuals with outstanding criminal charges off our streets,\u201d Constable Hector Bernal said. \u201cThis joint operation highlights the mutual cooperation between both offices as we work together to improve the overall safety of our community.\u201d<\/p>\n
Authorities said Olazaba had two active Personal Recognizance bond violation criminal warrants with outstanding charges, including possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. <\/p>\n
The combined total of the active bonds was set at $101,000. <\/p>\n
According to police, the original charges stem from an El Paso Police Department arrest on July 11, 2025, after Olazaba had been placed under PR bond supervision. <\/p>\n
However, Olazaba was then arrested again on April 29, 2026, for a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance. <\/p>\n
Police said this arrest triggered the revocation of Olazaba\u2019s PR bonds and prompted the issuance of the arrest warrants.<\/p>\n
Deputies then located and apprehended Olazaba in the 7900 block of Gateway East on Thursday. <\/p>\n
