Kouchan Ramen will open its first United States location in Plano this summer (exact date TBD) at 4709 W Parker Road, suite 440. <\/p>\n

Kouchan Ramen<\/a>, a Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen chain popular in Japan<\/a>, is opening its first United States location in Plano later this year.<\/p>\n

Tonkotsu ramen is a milky-white broth made by boiling pork bones over high heat for hours. According to the website, Kouchan\u2019s noodles are prepared fresh in-house and combined with a proprietary seasoning base, oversized slices of chashu pork and green onions. A spicy version with spicy miso and chili oil is also available.<\/p>\n

According to the brand\u2019s website, customers can customize noodle firmness or order extra noodles in \u201ctraditional Hakata ramen culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

The restaurant has 20 locations<\/a> in Japan, one in Bangkok, Thailand and one in Seoul, South Korea.<\/p>\n
