{"id":303792,"date":"2026-05-22T01:21:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-22T01:21:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/303792\/"},"modified":"2026-05-22T01:21:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T01:21:17","slug":"drainage-projects-in-bellaire-to-see-influx-of-activity-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/303792\/","title":{"rendered":"Drainage projects in Bellaire to see influx of activity this summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBellaire City Council members received a quarterly update on the city&#8217;s Regional Drainage Improvement program during a <a href=\"https:\/\/bellairetx.new.swagit.com\/videos\/388323?ts=0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">May 18 City Council session<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The update given by officials with Quiddity Engineering and Deputy Program Manager Casey Goforth showed that all projects are currently on schedule, with several next steps set for this summer.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s happening?<\/p>\n<p>The drainage program, also known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/houston\/bellaire-meyerland-west-university\/government\/2026\/02\/17\/bellaire-moves-forward-with-phase-1-of-cypress-ditch-project\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cypress Ditch project<\/a>, is a mitigation project to reduce flooding in Bellaire during heavy rain events.
