Summer is almost here, and the Port Aransas Parks and Recreation Department has planned some fun events for the community.<\/p>\n
Parks and rec seeks volunteers to help with the Crazy Cart Crawl on Saturday, June 27.<\/p>\n
The volunteers will be needed from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for various jobs during the golf cart event.<\/p>\n
Helpers will be stationed at mystery locations around town for about two hours helping participants draw poker chips and recording results as part of the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a light-duty, high-energy role that\u2019s all about fun and community involvement,\u201d said a news release from parks and rec.<\/p>\n
After the event, volunteers will meet at Old Town Square to relax and enjoy a pizza lunch.<\/p>\n
